The mission of Friends of Newton Parks, Inc., is to make Chimney Park universally accessible, protect the natural environment, preserve and develop the historical elements on site, promote the park’s adjacency to the Newton County Library and Physical and Mental Health facility, and support development of the park through fundraising that will ensure sustained evolution of park elements and long-term maintenance.

We the Friends of Newton Parks, Inc., envision Chimney Park as a peaceful urban woodland that attracts children and adults of all ages and abilities.
We apply this vision to community activities and elements that encourage passive play, exploration, imagination, quiet contemplation and respect for nature and history.
Friends of Newton Parks, Inc. (FONP) is seeking new Board Members. As a non-profit group, the future of Chimney Park relies on volunteers within our community. Our meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4:30.
Send application to FONP P.O. Box 726 Oxford, GA 30054 or by email to chimneypark627@gmail.c
